SPCA officials have chosen some of their finest pets, who are available for adoption and looking for a good home and new family to love. Among the animals spotlighted this week include:
- Brutus, which is such a tough guy name for such a small, gentle dog. This senior Maltese mix was turned in with a few others after their owner died. He is such a lovely little guy-very sweet and good with everyone. Sadly, he and his furry friends were neglected and came in to us in very rough shape. Brutus had clearly broken his leg at some point and it appears that it was not treated medically so it didn’t heal properly which is why one of his paws is facing the wrong way. That doesn’t seem to stop him from getting around and loving life. Due to his age and medical issues, Brutus is eligible to be fostered prior to potentially adopting.
- Dudley is available for adoption. This handsome boy is around 10 to 12 months old and he’s just a lovable goofball. He’s super friendly, smart, playful, and likes other dogs.
- This beauty of a boy named Grizzly is a super friendly guy who loves to play and run outside and also enjoys the company of other people. Although he is an adult he still has some puppy tendencies so he needs a bit of training but he is very smart so he should be a quick learner-plus he is very food motivated. An experienced owner of larger breed dogs would be ideal.
- Mindy is a lovely 1-year-old pit bull terrier mix. This energetic girl would make a great running partner and would be happy playing a few games of fetch daily. Mindy is a social girl and gets along nicely with both people and dogs. She is currently working on her basic obedience training while she waits for the opportunity to join a family.
